This study focuses on the importance of studying the forms of non-production word formation in the English language. It delves into the historical development of derivational processes and explores various types of non-production word formation, such as onomatopoeia, borrowing, interjections, acronyms, initialisms, and blending. Additionally, the study examines the productive and unproductive ways of word formation in modern English, highlighting the methods used in contemporary language development.
