This paper discusses the theoretical basis and methods of teaching communicative competence in English, different types of speaking activities and techniques for beginners, and the use of plasticine as a tool for teaching English speaking to beginners. It also includes information on the reform of teaching foreign languages in the education system of Uzbekistan.
