This paper provides a detailed description of approaches and methods used in Iraq for teaching English language. It includes a literature review, explanation of basic terms, discussion on effective teaching methods, modern educational technologies, and different language teaching methods such as the grammar translation method, audio lingual method, and communicative language teaching. It also covers the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR).
