Transportation is any medium used for the movement of people, animals and goods from place to place. It can be divided into two categories: internal transport and external transport. Millions of people all over the world use transportation for education, to do business, and for recreation. Older forms of transportation included walking, riding donkeys, carts, and bicycles, which took a long time and energy to reach their destination. Modern transportation allows people to travel quicker and in less time than before.
