The concept of parallel transport in mathematics involves shifting a given shape or a set of points to a known direction by a known distance. It is mostly expressed through vectors. For example, if point $A(x, y)$ and vector $\overrightarrow{v} = (a, b)$ are given, then the new point $A'$ will be the parallel translation of point $A$ in the direction of vector, given by $A'(x+a, y+b)$. Parallel transport is used in geometry to change the position of a shape without changing its size or shape. This transformation belongs to the family of isometries, which preserve distances. No other changes are made
