Antifosfolipid syndrome (AFS) is characterized by a combination of clinical and laboratory features including venous or arterial thrombosis, pregnancy complications, thrombocytopenia, and neurological, skin, cardiovascular, and hematological abnormalities. It is associated with the presence of antibodies to phospholipids and other blood substances.
